Shopping has become a trend for the travelers visiting to any tourist place. Just as Patong is famous for its beautiful beach; in the same way, Phuket is famous for shopping. Phuket is an island having beautiful sunshine scenes, sea views and a bed of sand. Phuket shopping markets sell fake items with the branded name especially in the electrical goods to large stores. These goods being cheaper compared to the West have lower quality.

For high quality goods, the malls are the best place for Phuket shopping. Central Festival in Phuket town is considered, as the biggest shopping mall where there are stores of the clothes, sportswear, shoes and lot more.

There are large retail outlets with designer labels, varieties of perfumes, electrical goods and so on. Music shops selling CDs, DVDs and shops of video games are also available. Video games are comparatively cheaper in Patong. Restaurants in Central Festival range from Fuji and KFC to Pizza Hut and Oishi as well as Sizzler.

There is another huge mall named Jungceylon with extensive mass of shops and stalls. This mall is located off Chao Fa West Road. The shops of electrical goods are more in number in Jungceylon compared to Central Festival, rest all types of goods are similar to Central Festival. In case of the restaurants, you can find better selection in Jungceylon. The people, carrying gifts and local ornaments to their home, have the option of doing Phuket shopping in this mall.

On Saturdays and Sundays, the market offers special discounts on T-shirts, CDs, DVDs, shoes and pets. You can bargain in this huge market, if you have the exposure of the item values. There is a hassle atmosphere in Patong with the vendors catering their products at lower prices in this huge market to attract the people. The quality is also not maintained in buying CDs, DVDs, computer software and video games. There are many fakes in the market, so we need to buy the items at our own risk, as it may cause trouble sometimes. For example, if you require buying a suit, then it is better to take a smart and quality suit from the Bangkok market.

Phuket shopping is enjoyable, as we can get the prices at much lower price. However, at the same time, we should buy the products with high care, proper checking and good bargaining.
